I have hired Reg and his brother Ray to escort me aross the English Channel. I have the second position in the June 18 - June 30 2022 tide window.

The Viking Princess II is a commercial Catamaran based at Dover Harbour. As commercial fishermen the Brickell brothers fish the Channel all year round. They have a vast knowledge of the English Channel which is of extreme value when escorting swimmers. They have escorted swimmers across the English Channel for 50+ years having gained their experience from their father who was also a pilot.

They were inducted into the International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame in May 2010
The International Marathon Hall of Fames quote was: "Their knowledge of Channel elements of weather, water and likely conditions has earned them a place in English Channel history as the most successful team to “Lead the Way” in helping channel crossers succeed. They are usually “right-on” for picking the day and time to start a swim."
